The Other Place

The Other Place has multiple locations through-out Kansas and Missouri as well as nationwide. However today brings us into the Mission location. I sat myself at the bar as it was a fairly quiet afternoon.

My drink was made to order served to my satisfaction, the bartender actually took the time to inquire about the drink she had served me and was willing to make whatever changes I wanted. Very attentative and well appreciated.

She also took my food order for a late lunch, I had the fish and chips, fried mushrooms, personal pan size pizza, an italian sub style sandwich with toppings as well as the chicken tenders.

Everything came in a time orderly fashion, displayed stylishly for bar food, hot and ready to go with dipping sauces of my choice. All the dishes were exceptional and well planned.

This being a sports bar there are TV's surrounding you, but they had a live entertainer performing outside, where the big canapy style window (an awesome feature) brings the outside dinning an inside together. He was performing original classic rock songs from the 80's which was very nice and added to the friendly atomsphere the "manager" of this facility has accomplished.

I have visited this Other Place several times and had several bartenders and Courtey is one of the best and most cheerful people I have ever met. She should be rewarded with a Bartending Workshop at the Long Beach School of Bartending & Mixology to help hone her craft to becoming one of the best bartender's in America.
